KPMG is currently seeking a Director to join our Washington National Tax (WNT) practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other offices of KPMG LLP as well as KPMG International member firms to provide advice to their clients

  • Consult with other dispute resolution professionals with respect to significant IRS controversies and alternate dispute resolution processes

  • Research, prepare and advise on significant private letter rulings

  • Review tax memoranda and tax opinions

  • Instruct internal firm courses and author articles related to IRS practice, procedure and dispute resolution issues

  • Review articles and other risk management activities

Qualifications:

  • Eight years of Corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, the Internal Revenue Service, corporation and/or law firm

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

  • Licensed CPA or J.D./LL.M. or Master's in Taxation from an accredited college/university for non-CPA eligible candidates (Please note that any candidate hired by KPMG into this position that doesn't currently possess one of the aforementioned credentials/designations will be required to secure one within one year from the commencement of employment)

  • Excellent advisory and research skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
