KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Manage a team of professionals delivering financial management advisory services to U.S. Federal government clients
Provide subject matter technical knowledge in financial management areas of financial reporting, internal controls, and/or financial business systems
Apply experience in federal financial management (e.g. Federal financial reporting and/or auditing in accordance with Office of Management & Budget (OMB) guidance (A-123, A-136, etc.), Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), Department of Defense (DoD), Financial Management Regulation (FMR), Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) standards, Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government (Green Book), Financial Audit Manual (FAM), and other Federal financial management laws, regulations, and policies
Develop and sustain relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services
Review draft deliverables prepared by engagement teams and present final results to client management
Review and analyze financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL preferred
A minimum of seve years of experience in government financial management, focusing on Federal financial reporting and/or auditing in accordance with Office of Management and Budget guidance, Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board standards, and Government Accountability Office Yellow Book
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university; MBA or a relevant Master's degree from an accredited university, CPA, and/or CGFM or CDFM certifications preferred
Experience in the preparation, review, and/or analysis of financial statements for U.S. Federal government entities
Experience leading / directing a team and reviewing their work products for quality and technical accuracy
Experience developing / managing client and stakeholder relationships and navigating organizational challenges
U.S. citizenship required and the ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government security clearance within a reasonable period of time
