KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Client Engagement & Billing to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) (https://tax.kpmg.us/services/state-local-tax.html) practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare client bills in accordance with an agreed-upon schedule

  • Download client engagement details and review Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and reconcile engagement and investment reports

  • Coordinate with engagement teams and Engagement Management Coordinators (EMC) to adjust Estimated Realization Percentages (ERP) as necessary and close out engagements upon completion

  • Ensure engagement administration is kept updated in a timely manner such as bills are prepared, finalized, sent and filed in Orion, which may include tracking consultant time and fees

  • Collaborate with engagement teams and risk management for engagement setup

  • Assist as needed in creating pricing workbooks during engagement setup upon direction and approval by management

Qualifications:

  • Previous consulting firm experience performing similar responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or minimum two years of relevant work experience

  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills with the ability to work well both autonomously and collaboratively

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Proven technical proficiency with capability to learn new internal software; demonstrated ability to be a productive member of an engagement team
