KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director to join our US Department of Professional Practice (PSG).

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for certain stakeholder relationship management including the coordination of US DPP-Audit (for example, topic teams) and or other global group peers (for example, Global Audit Quality Monitoring) to solution assigned PSG services

  • Serve as a primary contributor in the development of global PCAOB audit policies, methodology, thought leadership and or tools, as assigned

  • Support group leadership in the development and deployment of periodic PSG knowledge sharing sessions (PCAOB)

  • Produce and distribute periodic non-US member firm PCAOB portfolio data and analysis for PSG and PSG network communications (for example, PSG bulletin, and more)

  • Apply advanced knowledge of audit, attestation, accounting, and/or regulatory standards to contribute to US DPP with audit methodology projects, or other department strategic projects in support of global PCAOB audit methodology, as requested (such as, contribute pre-policy making "international lens"); this also includes the ability to assist US DPP with PCAOB audit standards inquiries (focus on non-US member firm sourced), as assigned

  • Provide active coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing with peers and junior staff, including non-US rotational resources within the group, to advance their career development; act as the lead of the D&I DPP International Alumni group for non-US rotationals; drive ongoing compliance and the requirements of D&I of PSG services ISQM-1controls as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum seven years of current and/or recent financial statement audit experience within a public accounting firm with demonstrated supervisory experience; specifically, experience working with non-US member firms on issues pertaining to US standards, principally - PCAOB Audit; significant PCAOB audit engagement experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required; active U.S. CPA License (including NY State License)

  • Demonstrated project management and relevant leadership skills

  • Passion for contributing to audit quality improvement initiatives

  • Demonstrated knowledge of PCAOB audit standards and SEC financial reporting, solid writing, oral communication and organizational skills, strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills

  • Self-confidence to work collaboratively and independently in a culture-rich and fast-change environment; English-speaking and reading proficiency, Spanish-speaking and reading proficiency is a plus
