KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Generative AI Prompt Engineer to join our Automation COE team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine prompts to interact effectively with generative AI models, ensuring high-quality, relevant, and contextually accurate outputs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including machine learning engineers, product managers, and UX designers, to integrate prompt-driven AI features into products

  • Conduct thorough testing and iteration of prompts based on user feedback and model performance data to continually improve output quality

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and prompt engineering practices to ensure our approaches remain cutting-edge

  • Address and mitigate biases in AI responses, promoting ethical AI usage that respects user privacy and fairness

  • Document prompt design processes and decisions, providing clear guidelines for best practices in prompt engineering within the organization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of recent work experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in computer science, linguistics, cognitive science, or a related field

  • Proven experience in prompt engineering, AI development, or a similar role, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in generating effective AI interactions; familiarity with AI ethics, including understanding and mitigating biases in AI outputs

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) frameworks and tools preferred; advanced degree in a relevant field as well as published work or contributions to the field of AI, NLP, or computational linguistics preferred

  • Deep understanding of generative AI technologies and their underlying mechanisms; excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in designing prompts for complex queries

  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; agility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape
