KPMG is currently seeking a Director to join our KPMG Strategy (https://advisory.kpmg.us/) practice.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key advisor, lead enterprise-wide and function specific strategy and performance improvement engagements for private equity clients while overseeing the process from start to finish, including setting scopes, budgets, staffing resources, creating and coordinating final deliverables, and assisting with presentation of results
Help lead business development initiatives focused on Strategy and Performance Transformation including targeting key C- level and Partner-level individuals, proposing KPMGs services and closing opportunities
Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing strategic roadmaps, manage key engagement interviews/research, and facilitate workshops
Act as the primary team interface with various levels of client executives up to and including C-Level
Manage the presentation of final project deliverables and advise persuasively, earning the position of a trusted advisor
Participate in professional development of KPMG Strategy team members and assist with the recruiting and training of new staff
Qualifications:
Minimum eight years of external consulting experience in a client-facing strategy discipline at a major strategy, boutique strategy, private equity or Big 4 consulting firm with experience working in a Private Equity (PE) focused practice, including experience driving operational and performance improvement and supporting the PE transaction life cycle to include integrated diligence, value creation, buy side carve outs and cost take-outs
Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, or other related field; Masters degree in Business Administration from an accredited college/university is preferred
Experience across the following strategy areas: Market sizing, strategic planning, transaction and business due diligence, operational and performance improvement, value creation, strategic growth, buy-side carve outs and cost take-outs
Working knowledge of one or more of our key industry sectors (Consumer/Retail, Industrials and TMT are preferred)
Strong business acumen with deep analytical/problem solving skills and the ability to understand how business model decisions impact operating model design/execution across operations, technology and organizational design
Willingness and ability to travel
