KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.
Use critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve client issues, including root cause analysis and the ability to tie details back to the "big picture"
Identify opportunities for improvement and clearly communicate approaches to implement them from inception to finish
Manipulate and analyze financial data using Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, and other programs
Review and analyze internal and external financial management reports
Perform analysis and provide recommendations in support of data cleanup and standardization for Federal financial systems
Work within a team to research various accounting and financial situations through Federal agency websites and other public sources
A minimum of three years of federal financial management / analysis experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university; CPA and/or CGFM/CDFM certifications preferred
Familiarity with Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), Standard General Ledger (SGL), OMB Circulars, and the Treasury Financial Manual
Experience with Federal financial systems (SAP, Momentum, Oracle)
Robust base of Federal financial management knowledge
Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government security clearance within a reasonable period of time
