KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in Financial Crimes Analytics for our Consulting (https://advisory.kpmg.us/) practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with key financial crimes personnel and C-suite stakeholders for a variety of financial institutions in addressing financial crimes (such as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)/sanctions) and fraud matters across all three lines of defense

  • Assist and advise clients on a variety of regulatory matters, including clients facing regulatory enforcement actions; maintain an awareness of current marketplace issues and stay up to date with emerging regulatory requirements and guidance

  • Consistently deliver quality client services, monitor progress, manage risk, and help ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes

  • Oversee financial crimes compliance initiatives at the direction of the national financial crimes solution leader or leadership team

  • Manage engagement decisions such as work plans, timelines, budgets, project management, and resource allocation

  • Promote the financial crimes practice with revenue generation and go-to-market initiatives by contributing to service line or industry sector expansion and methodologies, tools, processes, and content development

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent financial crimes (such as AML/OFAC/Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)/Anti-Fraud) experience with financial or professional services industries and/or with banking or securities firms and/or regulatory agencies

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, english literature, engineering, computer science, information systems, statistics, math or a related quantitative field of study; MBA or JD from an accredited college/university and/or CAMS Certification or similar certification such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred

  • Significant understanding of common money laundering schemes as well as the AML and sanctions legal and regulatory environment, specifically the laws, regulations, and guidance promulgated under the BSA, USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC

  • Experience examining, assessing, and/or enhancing aspects of a financial crimes compliance program (for example: performing internal audits or compliance testing reviews, remediating identified deficiencies) preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to meet the needs of the team and business; solid experience in performing auditing, testing or quality assurance of AML and/or OFAC controls and processes

  • Excellent writing abilities across various deliverable formats including reports and presentations as well as excellent experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel as required by client demand

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
